The scheme explained
Q. What is the scheme?
A. It enables owners of cars and vans 10 years old or more to get £2,000 towards the cost of a brand new vehicle.
Q. Do I qualify?
A. The car or van (up to 3.5 tonnes) must be over 10 years old, registered with the DVLA, have a current MOT certificate and registered to the owner for 12 continuous months.
Q. Why has it been introduced?
A. To boost the UK car industry, hard hit by the global recession. Similar schemes have been launched in other markets.
Q. What are the benefits?
